SUSTAINABILITY
I want to act for better future in responsible way with all my services at Arctic PoweRelax. In the means of transparency I am working with Sustainable Travel Finland certification program. As part of that I already got Good Travel Seal certification in may 2023. Certication is awarded to tourism businesses for their commitment in the fields of environmentally-friendly management, sosial responsibility, and healt&safety. In june 2023 my company was awarded with Sustainable Travel Finland label. 2024 I have done actions on my path of Sustainable Travel Finland. Now also my go-operating company is getting the Sustainable Travel Finland label! I have still lot of things to do.
How I work with sustainability?
Ecological sustainability:
Operating with my services is nature friendly. My aim is to use ecological products in my services (massage, stand up paddling). Eco massage oil, Star board - paddling boards etc.
Spring, summer and autum Igo to work by bicycle or bus. Winter time I'll use bus. I don't have a car so in my private life I also use busses, trains, bicycle and my feet as walking. Last winter I walked under northen lights to home from work almost 20km. I recycle in home and work. We have in Muonio possibility to recycle class, metal, plastic,paper... In my home is not yet possible recycle bio waste. Hope we get soon also that one.
Sosiological and cultural sustainability:
Preferring local services and products as far as possible. I work in close collaboration with locals in the area. I bought decoration to massage room from local artist. Also I bought flowers from local flower shop.
Economic sustainability:
I am professional and educated. It means that I am able to ensure the quality of my services. Since december 2020 I have been able to pay taxis here in Muonio where I live and have my company Arctic PoweRelax.
